As I look back at the place where I thought I belonged. Where my life was, and where life would now continue without me, I think of Asher, of how his life will always be dull and filled with lies. I also think of Fiona, of what the future once had in store for us. I think of Mother, Father and Lily, of how they will never feel true pain, even after knowing about my death. And I think of the Giver, I imagine him helping them receive the memories, that is, if our plan has succeeded. But now, I must look ahead, for a new beginning is starting to unfold before me. As I go down the hill, I feel the prickly sensation I once felt when I was with the Giver, but now, I am not merely sliding down a hill for pleasure, but rather, I am now headed somewhere.
